1. The 2021 parade will include 15 giant character helium balloons, including TK new balloons, including Ada Twist, Scientist, Baby Yoda from the Star Wars series The Mandalorian,” Ronald McDonald and Pikachu & Eevee.

It took 2,629 hours to complete the Ronald balloon at Macy’s Studio; and over 50 gallons of paint! 3. Astronaut Snoopy will be lifting off once again. This year’s appearance will be Snoopy’s 42nd flight, the most of any balloon, according to Macy’s! His very first balloon was the 1968 Flying Ace, and a year later he was reworked as an Apollo astronaut.
  3. The new Ada Twist, Scientist balloon is inspired by the the Netflix series of the same name. The balloon version of Ada has a pen tucked behind her ear and is sporting her signature lab coat. Fun Fact: If you lined up 27 real pens, they would equal the length of the pen behind Ada’s ear!
  4. The original Sinclair DINO balloon was inducted as an honorary member of the Museum of Natural History in 1975, and the balloon returned to the Macy’s Parade in 2015, after nearly 40 years.

  9. Grogu, aka Baby Yoda, from The Mandalorian makes his Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade debut in 2021. The ballon is 29-feet long, 37-feet wide and 41-feet tall. In fact, Grogu’s 37-foot ear span is longer than a telephone pole is tall!
